IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kimberly Sue
Zumbahlen
October 21, 1963 – June 14, 2025
Kimberly Sue (Kimmie) Zumbalen, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, at the age of 61. Born October 21, 1963, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Kimmie lived a life filled with creativity, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
Kimmie earned an Associate Degree in Business, but her true passions lay in the arts. A talented photographer, she also found joy in painting, jewelry making, and beading. Her artistic spirit was matched only by her loving nature. She was known for her carefree spirit, kindness, understanding, and optimistic outlook. Non-judgmental and giving, Kimmie was a spontaneous and loving presence in the lives of all who knew her. She also cherished her feline companions, Miss Kitty, Dirty Harry, Tiger, Prince, and Booboo.
Above all, Kimmie's greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Kimmie is survived by her husband, Robert Zumbahlen; her children, Eric Manning, April Thayer, Angela Manning, Joseph Manning, and stepdaughter Trista Willis; and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Shelby Brown; her mother, Josephine Brown; and her sister, Karen Brown.
A private celebration of life will be held for family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Marion County in her memory.
