IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Klaus Josef
Babiarz
January 7, 1940 – January 16, 2025
Klaus Josef Babiarz of Ocala, FL and Prospect, CT, passed away peacefully in his home on January 16, 2025, with his family by his side. He was 85.
Klaus was born on January 7, 1940, in Burgstadt, Germany. He spent his childhood in his hometown and entered trade school to learn toolmaking. He left Burgstadt at the young age of 17, migrating to West Germany where he met his loving wife of 63 years, Lili.
Klaus and Lili moved to America in 1966. Klaus then worked for a few machine shops before starting his very own successful tool business in 1972, "Concentric Tool & Mfg."
Klaus and Lili lived in Prospect, CT. where they raised their three children, before retiring to Ocala, Florida in 2002. They shared many good times with their friends at the German Club, and in their Prospect neighborhood.
Klaus enjoyed his retirement and quickly made lots of friends. He loved to play golf, pickleball, ping pong, and working on his Model Train set. Anyone who knew "Klaus in the House" had been touched at some point by his charm and humor. He always knew how to make everyone laugh and smile and effortlessly lit up every room. He loved his German cold cuts and his German beer, but most of all, he loved his family, friends, and his little dog Moritz.
Klaus was survived by his beloved wife, "Frowle" Lili H. Babiarz, His daughter's Birgit Behuniak (husband Sam Behuniak), Bettina Penaluna (husband Richard Penaluna) and son Klaus D. Babiarz (Wife Patricia Babiarz). He was the proud grandfather of Taylor Babiarz, Nicholas Babiarz, and Michael Daloia, along with Marco Nesi, and Nico Mosquera.
Although it has been one month since his passing, Klaus is already dearly missed. Not a day goes by without somebody using one of his catchphrases. We all feel blessed, as he left us with many great memories to cherish.
In lieu of a Funeral, there will be a Celebration of Life in honor of Klaus Babiarz for family and friends.
It will be held at the Tullamore Public House on Leavenwoth Street, Waterbury, CT, 06702 on Sunday March 9, 2025. Friends and family who would like to pay their respects are welcome to attend anytime between 3pm-7pm.
