L Montagu "Monte" Hanson Monte was born November 20, 1931 to Clarence LaVerne and Mabel Hanson in Green Bay, Wisconsin: he passed away September 5, 2023 at the age of 91 in Winter Park, Florida. Monte served in The Navy on the USS Vireo in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Sasebo Japan. He was an architect and designer who retired from Disney World. His two favorite career projects were The Empress Lilly, a replica paddle steamer riverboat at Disney World and The Rose and Crown English pub at Epcot. He loved the Winter Park community and enjoyed the museums, art shows and artistic offerings. He looked forward to his annual destination trips and world travels. He is survived by his cousins and many friends. He will be greatly missed.
