LaMonte "Monty" Beck, 84, of New Smyrna Beach, died Thursday, January 7, 2015. Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 12 from 3-4 PM and a service at 4 PM at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 N. Causeway New Smyrna Beach FL.

Monty was born in Austintown, OH, to the late William and Elsie Beck. He served in the US Army earning the WW II Victory Medal, Korean Service Medal, Bronze Star, and Combat Infantry Badge. Monty worked most of his life as a breadman for a local bakery in OH and then in sales for a food broker in FL. He went to work for Baldwin Brothers in 1985 and worked there in funeral service operations for the rest of his life .

He was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Lynn, brothers Harold Beck, James Beck, Alan Beck, & a son-in-law Jeffrey Alexander. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Marlene Joyce Beck, children Lary (Nancy) Beck, Colly "Tee" Alexander, Norbert "Nob" Beck, Marla "Dink" (Don) Kollar of OH, & Randy (Julie) Beck of FL, 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.
