Obituary

Lance Davsko, 80, of Ocala, FL (formerly of Springfield, IL) passed peacefully on November 3, 2024.

He was born in Springfield, IL on November 5, 1943, to John Leo and Helen C. Davsko (Verbais). He graduated from Griffin High School in 1961. He married Marilyn Davsko on March 14 in 1973 in Jacksonville, IL.

Lance was a resident of Springfield most of his life. He was a United States Army veteran. He worked for the Illinois Army National Guard at Camp Lincoln for 39 years. Lance enjoyed golfing and NASCAR and other activities. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and their many sporting activities.

Lance is survived by his wife Marilyn, brother Larry (Rita), sister-in-law Susan Davsko; daughter Lauren (Dave) Niepert of Springfield, IL, sons Bryan (Tricia) Schneller of Madeira Beach, FL and Jarrod (Heather) Davsko of Greensboro, NC; five grandchildren Emily, Hudson and Davis Schneller, Chloe and Dalton Davsko; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents John Leo and Helen C. Davsko and brother John Davsko

A Celebration of Life will be held January 11, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 at the Arbors Club, in Ocala, FL

Burial will be March 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., Camp Butler National Cemetery, 5063 Camp Butler Rd., Springfield, IL 62707.
