Lane Aijian Anderson (63) of Daytona Beach, Florida and Shady Valley, Tennessee, was welcomed into her Savior's presence very suddenly and unexpectedly at her Florida home on Tuesday morning, April 7, 2020.  Lane (or "Muffy," as she was first known to family and friends), a third-generation native Californian, was born in Pasadena on November 1, 1956 to Drs. H. S. and Ethel J. Aijian.  A graduate of the University of California, Davis, she was awarded a Master of Science degree from the University of Leeds in England and a teaching credential from the California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.

Lane was raised to follow Jesus and display hospitality by devoted Christian parents, and she was proud of her Armenian heritage.  In 1984 she was married to the Rev. William M. Anderson, with whom over thirty-five years she served as a partner in ministry in four churches in Pennsylvania and Florida, most recently in Daytona Beach.  She was ordained a Ruling Elder in the Palmdale Presbyterian Church of Melbourne and served several churches as a passionate Bible teacher and choir member.  She was delighted to follow in her mother's footsteps by serving in leadership in Bible Study Fellowship classes in both Melbourne and Daytona Beach.

In addition to being a professional seamstress, Lane most recently was employed by Brevard Public Schools as a Parent Education Specialist.  Her professional career as an educator blossomed after early years of investing fulltime at home in the lives of their three children who survive her:  sons, the Rev. William Lewis Moore ("Will") Anderson (and Dr. Erica Joan Pruett Anderson) and Schuyler Aijian Anderson (and Faith Elisabeth Anderson), all of Nashville, Tennessee;  and daughter, Alice Anderson Bohn, J.D. (and Austin Jeffrey Bohn, J.D.) of Wilmington, Delaware.

She is also survived by brothers Dr. Paul S. Aijian and Mark M. Aijian, J.D., both of Santa Barbara, California, and Dr. Peter C. Aijian of Arroyo Grande, California, as well as a sister, Maria V. Aijian of Paso Robles, California, numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and dear friends the world over.  This remarkable woman will be sorely missed, having touched countless lives especially through her hobbies of cooking, gardening, knitting and reading, all the time exhibiting unparalleled humility, generosity and grace.
