Larry James Benjamin, 78, of Apopka, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

Born on December 24, 1947, in Johnson City, New York, Larry was the son of the late Augustin Steven Benjamin and Mary Petrick.

Larry earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Hofstra University. After moving to Ormond Beach, Florida, he enjoyed a successful career in retail sales, where he was recognized as Salesman of the Year at Dillard’s for many years. Outside of his professional life, he enjoyed running, exercising, gardening, and watching football. He was the life of the party with his dance moves and always knew how to make people laugh.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Ann Benjamin; his daughter, Kristin Donnelly, and son-in-law, Joseph Donnelly; his siblings, Bonnie Miller and Dennis Benjamin; his sisters-in-law, Ellen Benjamin, Sharon Benjamin, and Patricia Koch; his brother-in-law, Dave Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Marshall, Donald Benjamin and Leonard Benjamin, as well as his brothers-in-law, Marvin Miller and John Koch.

Larry will be fondly remembered by his family and all who knew him.
