Larry Lee Brown July 19, 1943 ~ April 20, 2026

Larry Lee Brown, 82, of North Port, FL passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, at Sun Harbor Healthcare in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born on July 19, 1943, in Menomonie, WI., to the late Reynold Brown and Loretta Moore Brown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim; sister, Delores; step-son, Charles Ingala and granddaughter, Christian Brown.

Larry graduated from Eau Claire Technical School with a degree in heating & refrigeration. He went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin - Stout with a bachelor’s degree in teaching.

In 1980 he married Bette Ingala and they moved to Whitefish, Montana in 1984. Larry worked at Grouse Mountain Lodge and later North Valley Hospital, retiring in 2008.

Larry enjoyed camping, fishing, golf, bowling, hunting and traveling.

Larry is survived by his wife, Bette Mae Ashley Brown; sons, Mike (Lynn) Brown, of Opelika, AL, Bradley (Mandy) Brown of Charlotte, NC and Barry (Sonja) Brown of Deville, LA; step-daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Burns of North Port, FL; step-son, Jim of Oshkosh, WI; brother, Ron (Sue) Brown of Menominee, WI; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church of SWFL located at 1379 South McCall Road, Port Charlotte, FL 33981.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church of SWFL, Jesus Loves You Ministry, or any charity of your choice in memory of Larry.
