Obituary

Larry Wayne Cooper passed away on March 2 at the age of 77 years old.

Larry was born in Owensboro, Kentucky and spent his formative years living in Tampa, Florida. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. During his military service, he was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal for meritorious service. Upon receiving an honorable discharge, he attended Hillsborough Community College and the University of South Florida, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He worked for over 32 years in telecommunications and information technology management through multiple firms.

Larry enjoyed westerns, ancient history, cars, NY Yankee baseball, and good food. Most importantly, he loved his family. He could easily fill a room with his presence.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Carolyn (Reeks) Cooper, whom he held dear for 55 years; sons William Jeff Cooper and James Anthony Cooper; daughters-in-law Melanie (Lawlor) Cooper and Abbey (Bailey) Cooper; and grandchildren Madison Cooper, Julia Cooper, Jameson Cooper, Olivia Cooper, and Ainsley Cooper; mother Nora (Jennings) Willoughby; and siblings, Charles Cooper, Yvonne Austin, Debbie Washburn, and Edward Willoughby.
