Laura “Lolly” Fricke

Laura “Lolly” Fricke, age 87, passed peacefully into the arms of her Creator on July 8, 2026. Lolly was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Fricke, and her brothers Bill and George Gordon. Lolly is survived by her children, Irene Page (Bruce) of New Smyrna Beach, Scott Fricke (Ruth) of Orlando, and Carl Fricke (Tami) of South Daytona; grandchildren, Amber Cook (Ben), Trevor Fricke (Tori), Savannah Fricke, Matthew Fricke, Sarah Fricke, Rachel Fricke, Ryan (Brigitte) Page and Landon Page; 11 great-grandchildren; and many adoring nieces and nephews.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Lolly relocated to Florida in her early teens and spent the rest of her life in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Anyone who knew Lolly knew she was passionate about her family, friends, the Miami Dolphins, New York Yankees, and Jesus. She loved in a big, loud way and brought music and laughter to everyone she met. A born performer, Lolly shined on stages across Volusia County including comedy sketches at the Daytona Beach Boat Club, church skits at Ormond Beach Methodist, and several seasons as a board member for the Hospice USO variety show.

Lolly had a brilliant mind. She was an expert puzzler, a self-taught pianist, and a mean poker player. She was adventurous. After retirement, Lolly and Bill converted their 1987 van into a camper and traveled on backroads throughout the United States. Most notably, Lolly was a generous volunteer who devoted her time, talents, and treasures to many organizations including Halifax Health Hospice, Tunnels to Towers Foundation, and South Daytona Christian Church. She was the kind of person who visited strangers in nursing homes, packed shoeboxes full of gifts for soldiers, and would give her last dollar to a person on the street.

Of all her accomplishments, Lolly's greatest pride was her 64 year marriage to Bill, the love of her life and her best friend. She was a true matriarch who surrounded our family with an unfathomable, insurmountable love. We will all miss her very much.

A celebration of life will be held at South Daytona Christian Church on August 14th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Lolly’s name to Tunnels to Towers Foundation using the following link:
