Laura Vignone, 94, died September 28, 2018 at Halifax Hospital. Laura was born April 3, 1924 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the late Carmelo and Elizabeth Cascone. She grew up and attended school in Hartford, Connecticut, where she met and married the love of her life, Martin Vignone.  They were married over 50 years, until his passing in 2001. Laura and Martin settled in Hartford, Connecticut, to raise their daughter, Adelaide Carroll who survives Laura, along with Adelaide's husband, Gene.  Other survivors include two devoted grandsons, Gene, Jr. and Robert; two adored great grandchildren, Antonia and Travis and two cherished great great grandchildren, Lilah and Reignah Rothwell; sister, Virginia Valles, and brother, Saverio Cascone. Laura was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Cascone, sister, Mary Thomas and her great grandson William, who died this year. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 8th at 10 am at The Catholic Church of the Epiphany, Port Orange with burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside Martin. The family will be accepting flowers in honor of Laura.
