Laurabelle Aurissa
Aldinger
Aug 3, 1938 — Oct 25, 2026
Laurabelle Aurissa (Clark) Aldinger passed through Heaven’s gates on October 25, 2026.
Born to the late Sterling Clark Sr. and Doris (Hathaway) Clark, Laurabelle was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” G. Aldinger Jr.; her daughters, Viki Lyn and Tracy Harris; and her siblings, Sterling Clark Jr. and Rachel Gonzales.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Kepple, Rodney (Shery) Boschee, Trina Sherrets, and stepdaughter Teresa O’Sail; her siblings, Anna Rae Dumond, Doris Ann Lovely, David (Toby) Clark, and Bruce (Mary) Clark; and several beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish their memories of her.
Family was at the center of Laurabelle’s life. Her home was always open to family and friends, and there was rarely a shortage of conversation, laughter, or room for one more. She had a way of making people feel welcome, and ordinary visits often became lasting memories. Whether gathered around the table, sharing a meal, or simply enjoying one another’s company, time spent with family was something she treasured.
Laurabelle’s faith was an important part of her life. She was a devoted member of Bethel Assembly of God in Mt. Dora, Florida, for 35 years before relocating to Maine, where she attended Charleston Church in Charleston.
Laurabelle had a special talent for crafts, sewing and quilting. She was a dedicated member of the Christmas House in Lake County, Florida, for three decades. She was also known for her famous Buckeyes, which earned her recognition in the local newspaper.
And then there were the card games. Laurabelle enjoyed playing Hand and Foot with her sisters and friends, where a friendly game could quickly turn into a lively competition. She was a card shark in her own right and made sure her nephews learned a thing or two about poker. Whether holding a winning hand or teaching the next generation how to play, she brought her own brand of fun to the table. For Laurabelle, these games were about more than cards; they were about family, laughter, friendly rivalry, and the memories made along the way.
Laurabelle, affectionately known as Nana not only to her grandchildren but also to their teammates and fellow spectators, loved spending time in the stands cheering them on at their softball games. She was a proud and enthusiastic supporter, enjoying every hit, catch, and close play.
Those who knew Laurabelle will remember her quick wit, generous spirit, creativity, and gift for bringing people together. Whether she was called Mom, Nana, Sis, Auntie, or friend, Laurabelle will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
