Lauren Cowell, (70) passed away in her sleep, Saturday July 3 ^rd 2021, after being in hospice care since Novermber 2020.

Lauren was born in the Bronx in 1951 and later moved to New Jersey where she completed high school and became a nurse at Newton Memorial Hospital. She married her loving husband Charles Cowell in 1984. Lauren had the biggest heart and a great sense of humor. She loved her friends, family, music and good food. She and her husband shared many interests, but perhaps the biggest was their love of dogs. Together, over the years, they rescued and took care of 7 four-legged children.

Lauren is survived by her husband Charles Cowell, brother Robert Chianese, sister-in-law Claudia Chianese, niece Janine Chianese, grand niece and nephew Alexandria and Dominic Chianese, and many loving friends and extended family. She is preceded in death by her father, Anthony Joseph Chianese, mother Lorraine Frey (Chianese), nephew Anthony Andrew Chianese, and her four-legged children, Max, Shelby, Toby, Jake, Lucy, Champagne and Wiggles.

A celebration of Lauren's life will be held July 24, 2021 at 2pm at Lauren and Charlie's home. 873 State Route 94, Blairstown NJ, 07825.
