Laurie Lee Engelman, 71, passed away on September 24, 2023 at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres Florida. She was born on January 2, 1952 to Frederick Carpenter and Hattie Shoebel in The Heights Michigan. Laurie was a loving mother and wife, and her family meant the world to her. She enjoyed crafting and worked alongside her husband Bruce in all of his business ventures. She loved living in Florida and enjoyed boating and listening to Jimmy Buffett music. Laurie was preceded in death by her brother Fred Carpenter, her sister Nancy Verhaeghe, her daughter Jennifer Engelman, and her husband of 50 years, Bruce Engelman. She is survived by her daughter Jessica Engelman, and her grandson Jaxton Desguin. Laurie and her husband Bruce did everything together and as they aged it became a little joke between the two of them. The two passed just six months apart. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
