Obituary

Lawrence (Larry) Roy Cole, 84, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024 at Trinity Springs in Oxford, FL after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.  He was born April 6, 1940 in Lockport NY to Helena and Charles Cole.

Larry was a kind, gentle and loving man.  He was the type of guy everyone wanted to hang with.  He was athletic, competitive, artistic, and creative with a spiritual side.  He was a star on both the tennis and pickle ball court.  His creativity willed him to work toward multiple business ventures; video production, sculpturing and writing several books.  His spiritual mind helped him to adapt the practice of yoga and meditation many years ago.  Larry also loved to be surrounded by the beauty of nature, exploring and traveling. And we cannot forget his love for the Buffalo Bills!

Larry grew up in Lockport, NY, graduating from Lockport High School. As a star running back for his high school team, Larry earned a college scholarship which afforded him the opportunity to attend Edinboro University.  At Edinboro, Larry met his future wife, Ardith (Davis) Cole.  After college they married and moved back to Lockport to start a family, raising three children.  Larry was a history teacher for the first half of his career until later starting his own business, "Video Vacation," later named "Cole Media". After retiring the business to his son, Larry moved to The Villages, FL nearly 30 years ago.

Larry is survived by his children Bradley (Cristiane) Cole, Jennifer (Steve) Young, Heather (Angelo) Gatto; loving partner Lynne Fletcher; brother Dennis Cole; grandchildren Cameron Cole, Delanie Young, Makenzie Young, Ashleigh Cole, Satya Gatto, Gianna Cole and Sebastian Cole.

The family will be celebrating Larry's life with a private memorial.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association .  Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449.  Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com .
