Lawrence (Larry) O. Tanner, Jr. passed away peacefully on February 8, 2019.  He was born on December 3, 1952, in Daytona Beach, FL to Lawrence Olan Tanner and Tommie Heidt Tanner Setrian.  Larry is survived by his son, Bradley, and his daughter Alissa Askey and five grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sisters, Sherrie Tanner (John) Deal of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Merrie Bolduc (Conway) Yelvington of Sunset, SC, and Terrie Tanner Taylor of Daytona Beach, FL.  Larry lived most of his life in New Smyrna Beach and Winter Garden.  He graduated from Winter Garden High School.  Larry joined the Army and proudly served his country.  He was a Longshoreman (marine) and he enjoyed fishing, camping and boating.  He lived aboard his sailboat at Halifax Marina. There will be a Christian service with recognition from the local veteran legion and a military honor guard at 11:00AM, March 2, 2019 Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 1 N. Causeway, New Smyrna Beach.  Memorial donations in Larry's memory are suggested to Halifax Health Hospice
