Lawrence A. McDaniel, 78, of Ocklawaha, FL passed away April 25, 2018 in Ocala, FL. He was born in Clarkston. MI on February 26, 1940 to the late Harold and Dorothy McDaniel's. He moved to Ocklawaha January 2018 from St. Helen, MI and was of Baptist faith. Lawrence received numerous awards and acknowledgements for his superior work at the prisons he served. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Diana; daughters, Jennifer (Scott) Allen of Winston-Salem, NC, Nicole Fryhover of MI, Kathy (Craig) Browenfield of St. Helen, MI; sons, Mike (Marcy) McDaniel,  Kevin (Mona) McDaniel, Shawn (Michelle) McDaniel all of MI; step children, Brian Coffee and Susan Thomas; 24-grandchildren; 9-great grandchildren; his pet deer "Weiner" and faithful dog "Brandy".
