Lawrence "Larry" Papouleas, 71, of Oak Hill, FL passed away April 23, 2017, at the Halifax Health Hospice in Edgewater Florida.  Son of the late Chris and Lillian Papouleas, also of Oak Hill.  Larry was born September 16, 1945, in Boston, Mass.  since his father owned a grocery and other businesses in the seaside town of Hull, Mass., and his mother's family lived in Florida, the family spent each year traveling between the 2 states.  So Larry attended both New Smyrna Beach High School and Hull High School, graduating from the latter in 1963.  Larry graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston in 1968.  He worked as an accountant in Jacksonville and Tampa for several years.  Eventually, Larry worked as office manager for a law firm in Titusville for about 25 years.  Larry loved stamp collecting and gardening, especially working with plants native to Florida.  He had many friends and was like an uncle or grandfather to their children.  He also sponsored children through Child Fund.  Larry is survived by his sister Karen (Elizabeth Wills), his aunts Marie Simmons Goodrich and Ida Simmons Goodrich, and several cousins. A memorial service will take place at Halifax Health Hospice 4140 S. Ridgewood Ave. in Edgewater, at 12 noon on Friday May 5, 2017.  Burial will follow at New Smyrna-Edgewater Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Edgewater Hospice in memory of Larry.
