Obituary

Lawrence Joseph Roskow, of Estero, Florida, formerly of Flourtown, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 22, 2024.

Larry was born on May 14, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to parents Joseph and Margaret Roskow. He served in the United States Air Force and eventually went into business for himself owning several bars and a restaurant. He also bought and renovated old houses and historic properties. He was never afraid to try something new or take a risk.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Frances (Pannulla) Roskow, 2 devoted sons Lawrence Joseph (Melinda) Roskow Jr., Bryce Andrew (Cathy) Roskow, five wonderful grand children, Ian (Bailie), Alexandria, Adam, Evan, Isabelle and two adorable great grandchildren, Calvin and Vera, all of whom he adored. He also leaves behind many friends and family members.

After retiring, Larry thoroughly enjoyed full-time RVing all over the United States and his time spent working at Disney World before settling in Estero. He loved the casinos, playing cards, especially Texas Hold 'em and meeting and making new friends. Larry was known and loved for his quick sense of humor and his generosity. He never said, " I wish I had," because he did.

A celebration of life and a luncheon will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at noon at the Marsh Landing clubhouse, 22901 Marsh Landing Blvd, Estero, FL 33928.
