Graveside service for Lee Harris Smith, 89, New Smyrna Beach who died August 29, 2017 will be  September 16 at Woodland Cemetery Port Orange. Lee was born in Daytona Beach. He served our nation in the US Marine Corps in 1946-48. He later moved to Norwalk, Connecticut where he served as a police officer retiring as a Lieutenant. Lee retired and returned to Florida where he worked as a security guard at Cape Kennedy and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his daughter Gail Floyd of Edgewater, grandson Robert (Jodie) Phillips, brother William (Barbara) Smith, step children Evan Williams, Debbie Pegram, Phillip Williams, Brian Williams, Mark Williams, nephews and nieces Ed (Lynn) McGrath, Michael (Kimbra) McGrath, Debbie Robinett, Donna (Jack) Lennon, and his beloved dog Harley. He was preceded in death by his daughter Christine Stuckey, sister Patricia Plumb and two wives Emma Smith and Lorraine Smith.
