Leo Charles Hanna, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, one day after celebrating his 86th birthday. Born April 17, 1939, in Butler, Pennsylvania, Leo lived a life filled with love, service, and unwavering loyalty to his family and country.
A devoted husband for 64 years, Leo is survived by his daughter, Denise Grennell; son-in-law, Brice Grennell; and grandsons Jacob, Leon, Shawn Gariepy, Bryce, and Dylan Grennell, and granddaughters Kristi Gross and Trisha Newsome. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Dorothy Mae Hanna, and his three sisters: Regina McIndoe, Grace Cypher, and Alice Saul.
Leo proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful 30-year career with Sprint Telephone Company, ultimately serving as a Fleet Manager in Florida. His dedication and hard work were hallmarks of his professional life.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Leo's passions were many. He was a lifelong NASCAR enthusiast, and his kindness and genuine spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. There truly was no one quite like him. His involvement in the community was evident through his memberships in the Fraternal Order of Elks, Moose Lodge, Eagles, VFW, and American Legion, demonstrating his commitment to camaraderie and service.
Leo's legacy will live on through the memories of his family and friends. He will be remembered not only for his unwavering dedication and accomplishments, but also for his warm heart, his generous spirit, and the unique and irreplaceable bond he shared with those fortunate enough to call him family. He will be deeply missed.
