Leon, Sr and Ethel Whritenour gave birth to a son Leon at St Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, NJ on August 8, 1947. He attended Lakeland Regional High School in Midvale, NJ. After high school he married and had two sons, Robert and Christopher and a step-son Tommy. He owned a drywall company in New Jersey and later worked at Shop Rite Grocery Stores as a product manager until his retirement. He and his wife Diane moved to Edgewater, FL. He again worked in dry wall and later worked at Carton Shores Nursing Home, Daytona Beach as a product manager until his retirement in 2016.  Survivors include his wife of  22 years Diane, Mother Millie Whritenour, children Robert Whritenour, Christopher and Tommy Colfax, Melissa and Carly Higgins, , sister Dona Paulison, Auntie Anna Conklin, nieces Kathy, Kristen and Karah.   Life Celebration will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 16 at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach.
