Leonard Petruskie, age 87, (7/3/35) of Altamonte Springs, Florida, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, at his home . He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia and his son, Michael. His brother, Mike, and his sister Jeanie, and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Irene Petruskie of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, his Son Lenny Petruskie and Daughter Debra Andrews and sisters Ruth Martin and Virginia Petruskie from Pittsburgh.
Len spent his career in the Automobile industry after serving in the Marines and Fighting in the Korean War. He was a proud Marine and was a totally disabled veteran due to the injuries sustained in the war. He was an author, writing a book on How To Build a Race car, he loved racing and spent many years building his own race cars.
He also loved singing and dancing, and loved cooking. The Song My Way was his favorite, he had it recorded, and this is how he lived his life, to the words of that song. He definitely did it his way until the end was here and he faced the final curtain.
Graveside services will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens, 3329 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, Florida 32703 on Tuesday, January 17 at 2:15pm. In lieu of flowers, family wishes to have donations to Tunnel to Towers, 2361 Hyland Blvd, Staten Island, New York 10306.
