Obituary

Leslie “Bud” Blubaugh II, age 82, resident of Cape Coral, Florida, died Tuesday February 17, 2026, in Cape Coral Florida. He was born on January 13, 1944, in Fort Scott, Kansas, the son of Leslie Eugene Blubaugh and Evelyn Irene Knotts Blubaugh. Following graduation from Pittsburgh State University in 1966 with a B.S. in Business Administration, Bud spent his working career at various enterprises from his own Budd Howard stores, a buyer at Macy’s, Marketing Manager for Mr. Grocer, and as a Marketing Executive with Happy Stores in Georgia and Northern Florida.

Bud is survived by his spouse of 41 years, Ken Seiders; two brothers, Mike Blubaugh and wife MaryLou, and Sam Blubaugh and wife Betty; 3 nephews, Erik Blubaugh and wife Laurel, Luke Blubaugh and wife Emily, and Travis Graves; a niece, Tammy Graves; and other nieces and nephews.

Bud loved living in Cape Coral, “there’s no place I’d rather be” he said. Bud and Ken’s Kokomo were his pride and joy. His quirky sense of humor and quick wit are evident in many of the things he did on the “estate”. He was quite musical, and loved playing the organ, often accompanying silent movies with his unique scores for any who would stop by (like unsuspecting friends and neighbors). He would always lend a helping hand, and if you needed something he probably had it in the garage and would loan it to you at a moment’s notice. He will be greatly missed.

A Potluck Celebration of Life will be held March 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
