Lewis Francis Hill Smith, 93, died Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Fort Myers. He was born in Hartford, CT, on December 20, 1928 to the late Sanford Arnold Smith and Gladys Mae Lewis Smith.

Lewis was a veteran of the US Navy. He retired after many years in management.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife, Mary Beth Wheeler Smith.

Surviving are: three sons, Douglas L. Smith and wife, Deborah of Palm Desert, CA, Brian J. Smith of Cedar Park, TX, and Craif M. Smith of Fort Myers, FL.; a grandson, Andrew M. Smith of St. Petersburgh, FL.; a granddaughter, Katherine M. Smith of Fernadina Beach,FL.

Services will be held in Wilmington, NC.
