Lillian Chitwood died peacefully on Jan. 6, 2019 from Alzheimer's.  She was born Lillian Houston's Sanders on March 3, 1931 in Yazoo City, Ms.  When she graduated high school she moved to Laurel Md where she met and married a handsome sailor named Edward M. Chitwood.  As a Navy wife she picked up and moved as a way of life while raising 6 children along the way and working many years as a secretary and Librarian.  Lillian leaves behind 3 sisters, 6 children, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
