Lillian Dolores Jones Larrivee, lovingly known as Dody passed away at her home on January 2nd, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion and family. Lillian was born in Pierson, Florida on April 14th, 1940, to parents Lillian and James Jones. Throughout her life, Dody held many different roles and careers, but the one she cherished most was a homemaker. Caring for her home and nurturing her family brought her the greatest joy, and she devoted many years to creating a warm, loving place for those she loved most. Dody had a passion for painting and was excellent at it. She had a talent that reflected her creativity, patience, and attention to beauty. Her artwork was another way she expressed care and thoughtfulness, and it brought joy to those who were fortunate enough to see and share in it. She was a devoted wife to her husband Tom, who preceded her in death. They shared 56 years of marriage, and a life built on love, partnership, and shared memories. Together they enjoyed trips to the beach, cruises to Alaska, flying through the sky in Toms planes, and time spent in the mountains, simple pleasures that became lasting memories. Above all else, Dody loved her family deeply. She was a proud and loving mother to her children Karen Taylor, Michael (Laurie) Hansen, Chris (Mary Kay) Hansen, and Mark (Lisa) Hansen. She also leaves behind a brother C. Frank Jones and her sister, Sonya (Bill) Eggerton. Her love extended across generations as she was blessed with eight grandchildren Tiffany Billings, Jamie (Brittany) Taylor, Emily (James) Guthrie. Kalen (Randee) Ruth, Jared Hansen, Katie (David) Vanlandingham, and Jenna (Chad) Haas and Lee Hansen. Seventeen great grandchildren Connor Whitsitt, Marisa (Adam) Griswold, Bailey Billings, Graedan Billings, Aubrey Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Sadie Taylor, Jamie Guthrie, Aedan Guthrie, Liam Guthrie, Alexandria Guthrie, Wyatt Ruth, Paisley Ruth, Gracie Vanlandingham, Colton Vanlandingham, Novalie Haas, and Braxton Haas. Two great-great grandchildren Alissa Whitsitt and Madalyn Griswold. All of which brought her immense pride and joy. Dody will be remembered for her quiet strength, her creative spirit, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Her life was defined by the care she gave, the home she built, and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and remembered by all who knew her. In the words of Winnie the Pooh, "how lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard". So, it's not goodbye, but see you later and we love you Dody. Celebration of life for Dody will be held on January 24th, 2026, at 11AM. Location of service will be at Pierson Methodist Church 136 W. 2nd Ave. Pierson, FL. 32180.
