On March 4th, 2026, Linda Sue Avery gained her wings unexpectedly while on vacation. She was doing what she loved most, riding the bike. Linda was a very loved person; she was loved by everyone who encountered her. Gaining the nickname “Momma Sunshine” because of all the light and love she brought to people’s lives. Linda recently retired from her state job and was living her best life with her husband.

Linda was predeceased by her mother, Evelyn Martin, her father, Steven Hunter, her siblings, Clarence Johnson, Steven Hunter, and MariAnne Cituk, and her favorite son-in-law, Christopher Kilventon.

Linda is survived by her husband, Charlie (John) Avery, her children, Christina Ardrey (Charles), Lisa Rodriguez (Tim), Michelle Kilventon, Keni Byers, and her grandchildren, Destiny, Savannah, Isidro, Jeremiah, Aaron, Maddy, Bella, Seth, Ameillea, Jasper, Julien, Damien, and Aiden. She is also survived by her siblings, Tina Robistow (Lloyd), Annie Savage (Matt), Rose West, and George Johnson, as well as many nieces and nephews and the entire Biker family.

The family will reach out to family and friends for the Celebration of Life service when they return to New York.
