Linda F. Tyson (76) from Tavares, FL, passed away on Feb. 3, 2026. Linda was born on September 5, 1949, in Columbia, SC, to Richard and Frances Crossland. She grew up in the small town of Frankfort, Michigan, before moving to Colorado. Her life's journey finally brought her to Tavares, FL, where she met her husband, Marshall Tyson. The two of them loved dancing, boating, camping, and more! Her wit was legendary around the card table. A single remark from her could send everyone into a barrel of laughter. Their pride and joy was their adorable dog, Effie, who was spoiled rotten and knew it!

She worked many years for the FDIC and also counseled inmates at the Clermont Prison. She was very active with AMVETS and held an officer position for years, helping raise money for college scholarships. Linda is pre-deceased by her husband, Marshall Tyson, and daughter, Heather Sconiers. She is survived by her grandchildren Kayla, Keely, Kendall, and Kobe Sconiers. 

Linda will join her husband, Marshall, at Bushnell Military Cemetery.
