Linda Falls
Vail
November 11, 1931 – December 29, 2025
Linda Falls Vail, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to her Lord on December 29th, 2025 at the age of 94.
A native or Orlando, she graduated from Orlando High School and attended Queens College, Rollins College, and the University of Florida before marrying the love of her life, George Frazier Vail, and then becoming a devoted mother of two wonderful daughters, Lauren Elaine and Mary Courtney.
The family moved to Oviedo in 1968, where she became involved in church and local activities, and where Linda balanced a career at the University of Central Florida with children and various local and neighborhood activities. But then, going to night school, she obtained a degree in interior design, which she loved, and worked as a designer for over 25 years.
She was an amazing woman of grace who served her Lord, her family, her church, and her community. She was active in the Oviedo Woman’s Club, the Oviedo Historical Society, and a proud supporter of the Gideon’s activities.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, George Frazier Vail, two daughters, Lauren Elaine Thombleson (Rick), and Mary Courtney Edmiston (Don), four grandchildren, Greg Giraulo, Katie Giraulo, Jim Edmiston, and Zachary Thombleson, and three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Piper, and Jackson Giraulo.
Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church of Oviedo or the Lutheran
