"Linda passed on 8/8/16 surrounded by her two sons, Pete and Walt, and after a visit by her other son, Steve, and his family. After a hard life starting in near poverty from a large family, her hard work in school and at jobs paid off with admittance to, graduation from, and work as a pediatric nurse at Children's Hospital in Boston where she met Gerard coming out of MIT on the GI-bill. She then had three children, including Sandy, over four years while following Gerard to a teaching job at a boys school near Pittsburgh. The family then followed Gerard back to Boston where they settled while he taught and coached hockey at Belmont Hill School. While raising a family that subsequently included Walt, she worked part time at Boston area hospitals during the night, including McLean Hospital, and then as Belmont Hill's school nurse. Her fierce love and care for family and friends keep her in the hearts of her three grandchildren, Thyra, Ben and Nate, and all her family and close friends."
