Lionel (Lee) J. LaFleur JR. (82) of Tavares, FL, formerly of Natick, MA died 30 April 2019. He was born 31 October 1936 to Louise (Reale) LaFleur and Lionel J. LaFleur SR.  in Haverhill, MA.  Lee attended Saint Joseph's school and then Haverhill Trade School – graduating in 1954 from the carpentry class. He served in the MA National Guard as a Marksman for 6 years. His talents as a designer and woodworker were apparent from an early age. Early in his career he worked refinishing furniture. Lee had a strong work ethic and saved up and bought a brand new 1958 Corvette at age 21. He went on to make furniture at Sturbridge Yankee Workshop in Ipswich, MA and high end, colonial reproductions for the famous H. Sacks and Sons out of Brookline, MA. Later he worked as a custom cabinet designer and craftsman for the Noack Organ in Groveland, MA. There he created incredible cabinetry and casings for numerous famous pipe organs (to include one for the DuPont family estate). From 1980-2004 he was a Wood, Mold and Model Maker for the US Army at Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center – earning countless accolades for his fine craftsmanship and inventiveness. Lee loved fixing things around the house, lounging with neighbors and friends under the palm trees, building custom furniture for his wife and daughter, driving his Camaro and sailing his Hobie Cat on the lake. He leaves his wife Mary of Tavares, FL, daughter Annette LaFleur of Natick, MA, his sister Janice Sielicki and husband Charles of East Hampstead, NH and his niece Carrie Weinert and husband Larry of Wilton, NH.
