The family of Lloyd Curtis Mahaffey, Jr. is saddened to announce his recent passing. A loving husband, dedicated father and exceptional grandfather and great grandfather. Born on February 2, 1944, in Marion Ohio, Lloyd came from humble beginnings, working his way up as a regional UAW director for the State of Ohio. An exceptional community leader and life long political and social activist, Lloyd built an incredible career from the ground up. However, his greatest pride and joy wasn't his career, it was the beautiful family he created. Lloyd’s greatest love was his wife Sharon (aka Honey Bunny). High school sweet hearts, they married July 22, 1962 and welcomed their beloved daughters into the world, Kimberly and Teresa (Daniel). Lloyd and Sharon were devoted grandparents of Kaitlyn (Aaron), Collin (Tiffany), Ian, Evan, Alexia (Chad) and Max, and great grandparents of Addalaya and Charlee. The job he took the most seriously was his job as a grandpa. Lloyd never let his children or grandchildren forget just how proud of them he was. Whether it was attending sports events, watching school plays, or attending graduations, Lloyd was the proudest person in the room.
