Obituary

Lois Ellen Killough Brownell, 84, born March 21, 1942 passed away peacefully at her home in the Villages on June 2, 2026.

Lois was born in Philadelphia to the late Robert S. and Isabelle M. Killough and preceded in death by her brothers, Brian D. Killough and R. Craig Killough. She is survived by her brother Douglas Killough (Sharon), sister-in-law Marilyn Killough, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Lois was a graduate of Council Rock H.S. (1960), Abington Memorial Hospital School of Nursing (1963) and Temple University, where she earned her Bachelor of Nursing and Masters of Education degrees.

Lois taught Nursing at Bucks Co. Community College in Pennsylvania for over 20 years.

Lois served in the Air Force Reserves for more than 20 years, 2 of those on active duty. She retired from the Air Force as a Full Colonel.

Lois moved to the Villages in 1999 and enjoyed playing golf, Red Hat Society functions and many other activities with friends.

Lois's ashes will be interred at the Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell, Florida with a private ceremony.
