Lois June Gordon passed away at the age of 96 on March 30, 2017 in Ormond Beach, Florida. Lois was born in 1920 in Oklahoma but spent the majority of her life in northwest Arkansas. Lois received a degree in Home Economics from the University of Arkansas in 1942 where she met her husband, Rev. Terrel Gordon. Lois and Terrel married in Fayetteville and were blessed with 62 years of marriage at the time of his passing. In addition to her role as a pastor's wife and mother to their three children, Lois also taught home economics, became a published photojournalist. an accomplished artist, and talented pianist/organist and piano instructor. Lois devoted much of her free time to Bible study, pursuing healthy nutrition, enjoying long walks, and creatively managing the family's small budget. Lois also enjoyed sightseeing around the country and particularly enjoyed visiting National Parks with family and friends. She made prolific notes about everything. Lois will be remembered by those who loved her for her creativity, wit, fervent faith and sweet friendly nature. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Terrel Gordon; brother, Jack Davis; and sister-in-law, Alma. Lois is survived by her son James Gordon and his wife Linda; daughter Betty Webb and husband Jim; daughter Ruth Halterman and husband Skip; along with seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. Arrangments are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lois's memory to the music ministry at your church.
