Lois Pease
Keeler
Jul 16, 1929 — Aug 2, 2026
Our beloved mother, Lois Pease Keeler, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at 97 years of age. She was born on July 16, 1929, in Stamford, CT, to Maude Fanny Pease (née Ward) and Cedric Kendall Pease. Lois attended Sacred Heart Academy, and after graduating from Katharine Gibbs School in New York City, she worked as a professional secretary for a patent attorney in Stamford, CT.
Lois devoted her life to her family. She was an active and involved stay-at-home mom until she returned briefly to work in administrative support later in life at Control Data Corporation (CDC). Lois was also active in her churches. At First Presbyterian Church, Stamford, she served as a Sunday School Teacher. At Colesville Presbyterian, Colesville, MD, she voluntarily managed the charitable furniture donation and distribution process for the Colesville Council of Community Congregations. Lois was a long-time DAR member and leader of a Girl Scout Brownie troop. She excelled at crewel embroidery, sewing, crochet, and craft projects. Lois loved her cats and always had at least one. Along with her husband, Maxwell Gordon Keeler, Lois found joy in square dancing at the Challenge level.
Lois and Max were married for 56 years. He predeceased her, along with her sister, Cynthia Ann Pease, and her son, Richard Randall Keeler. Lois is survived by two daughters, Deborah Keeler Yee (Sidney T. Yee) and Katherine Keeler Cook; three granddaughters, Tracy Lynn Cook, Molly Hubscher Hackley (Richard J. Hackley), and Meaghan Keeler Hogan; and her two beloved great-grandsons, Liam and Owen, whose active presence in her life realized one of her greatest dreams.
A private interment will take place at Long Ridge Union Cemetery in Stamford, CT. Memorial donations may be made to Bridging Life Hospice at bridginglifecare.org/make-a-gift.
