Loren Allen Dial entered into the arms of his loving Heavenly Father on February 21, 2019. He is terribly missed by his loving wife, beloved family and an abundance of friends. Loren rescued Karen's heart in the winter of 1991 and they were wed July 19 of that year. He was the doting Daddy of 3 daughters; Lorna Dial Stowers, Tara Dial Wright & Carla Cleveland. He was a fun and loving Papaw to 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. There is an extensive list of people who's lives have been touched by his kindness and generosity. This list includes family, friends and, until he reached into their world, perfect strangers. Loren faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Armed Forces from May 11, 1977 until April 30, 1995. During one of his Naval deployments, he jumped ship into the Mediterranean Sea to rescue a brother in arms from a watery grave. He remained a dedicated patriot until the day of his Heavenly call to rest. In total, he had over 41 years of service to his fellow man.
If you wish to honor his way of life, first he would tell you to look for people in need and do what you can to help them. Then, he would quote you the words that perfectly explain how he carried out one of his daily missions in life.
You know that old trees just grow stronger, and old rivers grow wilder every day, ah, but, but old people, they just grow lonesome waiting for someone to say, "Hello in There. Hello."
So if you're walking down the street sometime and you should spot some hollow ancient eyes, don't you pass them by and stare as if you didn't care. Say, "Hello in there. Hello."
In lieu of flowers, we believe Loren would prefer any donations to:
www.backstoppers.org (The BackStoppers supports families of fallen heroes by paying off all debt, providing health and dental insurance, reimbursing for out-of-pocket medical expenses, and assisting with tuition and educational costs from day care through university and miscellaneous extraordinary expenses.)
