Loren D. Hansen, a 75-year-old resident of The Villages, passed away on April 29th, surrounded by family. He was born on June 17th, 1949, in Austin, Minnesota, to Melvin and Jean (Spurgeon) Hansen, who preceded him in death.

Loren was an avid water volleyball player. During the early stages of his move to The Villages, he found joy in playing pickleball and softball. He also cherished listening to music at the squares, particularly his close friends in Think Big and 501 bands. He never missed a performance.

Loren is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lorraine, and four children: Carla Masching and Shelly Yotter (both from Minnesota), Michelle Sandoval (Florida), and Douglas Fulfs (Missouri). He also has ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Loren is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Wilder (also of The Villages), Renae Smith (of Rochester, Minnesota), and Denise Kollasch (of Rochester, Minnesota). Additionally, he has a brother, Kevin Hansen (of Lyle, Minnesota), and special lifelong friends, Michael and Patti Behr (both of The Villages).
