On August 26, 2023, Loretta Jean Wells (91) of Edgewater, Florida, peacefully passed away in her sleep.

Loretta was born in Pittsburgh, PA.  She met and married Frank Alvin Wells  while he was serving in the armed forces while volunteering with her mother for the USO.

They raised 2 sons and a daughter living in the Cranberry Township area while both worked for the United States Postal Service. Before working for the USPS, Loretta started the first pre-k program for kids in the Fenway subdivision. She was a second mom to a lot of kids in her neighborhood who genuinely loved her.

Loretta and Frank retired and moved to the Edgewater area in the 1980's. Loretta spent her time helping the neighborhood, friends and even the homeless.  She was a devout Catholic, who after her husband's death spent countless hours volunteering for her neighborhood chuch. She became a Minister of the Sick bringing communion to people not well enough to attend church or homebound.

Loretta is survived by daughter Terri Teirney, sons Frank Wells and Don Wells. She was a beloved grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 11 greeat grandchildren.

Loretta was very much loved and is going to be missed by many.
