Obituary

Lori Myers passed unexpectedly on December 18th, 2022, after a sudden diagnosis of advanced cancer. We are devastated by her loss, and we were completely unprepared.

Born on June 19, 1963, in Beaumont, Texas. Lori immediately filled the lives of those around her with joy.  After her time in the US Army Military Police and receipt of a  Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, she went on to excel in business as a Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Director and an owner and operations manager of two businesses—a large luxury dog Hotel in Frisco, Texas and National consulting firm with contracts in Texas, Virginia and Florida.

Lori loved planning fun activities, whether it was for her staff, family, or friends. All who knew her adored her, and always wanted her around. She was a wonderful teacher to staff, and a boss that supported and rewarded regularly. Her family (Hungarian and USA) was always first in her decision when planning the year of events and travel. Lori loved traveling, and regularly planned trips abroad with her wife of 33 years, Betsy Arnette.

Lori was a loving sister to Kyle Myers of Austin, Texas, Dianne Carpenter of Beaumont, Texas, Jason Myers of Nebraska, Christa Hernandez of Crystal Beach, Texas, and Buster Myers of Nederland, Texas. She will be most missed by her closest cousins, Cindy Seamans and Nancy Borel of Beaumont, Texas, her uncle Janos Fejes and his wife Elizabeth of Escer, Hungary, her Hungarian cousins Agi, Andi, and Erika, and her Army buddies, Lynda Soyka, Tammy Eyrich, and Betty Jo Baggett.

She adored her family and was a loving aunt to all the nephews/nieces, as well as to all the grand nephews and nieces. Lori was passionate about giving to others—charities and family.

Lori's presence is sorely missed, and her loss is deeply felt by all.

Lori is predeceased by her mother Carmen McDaniel, father Tommy Myers, and aunt Betty Mosely. She is survived by her wife, Betsy. Military Service will be held at Bushnell Veterans Cemetery on February 17th at 2 p.m.
