Loris Joy Theresa Jackson, Nee Smith, daughter of Jocelyn Fenandis Smith and Gladys Josephine Gutzmore was born February 11, 1935 in Kingston Jamaica, West Indies.

Loris received her education in Jamaica, where she attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and then attended Bennett Commercial College.

Loris migrated to the United States in 1966.

In the late 60's early 70's, she started working for Terminal Freight Handling Co./Sears as a claims adjuster.

She proudly worked there for 20 years, until she retired and started her career in the healthcare field.

After working for many years as a caregiver, Loris then relocated to Florida in 1998.

She continued her work as a caregiver to her Mother and her Aunt until they were no longer in her care.

Loris was a devout Catholic and frequently attended St. Charles Borromeo Church.

She was blessed to have two loving children, Norman (Bibsy), and Leslie (Mami).

On February 3, 2021, Loris was called home to be with the Lord. She leaves behind lots of fun memories that we will cherish forever.

Those who mourn her loss are her children, Norman and Leslie; her daughter in law Jennifer; her sisters Marjorie, Norma (Blossom), Jossette (predeceased); her brothers Robert (Bobby), Eric (predeceased); ex husband Tyrone; her grandchildren, Darren, Tyree, and Troy; her great grandchildren, Jazmin, Jerimiah, and Nevaeh, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and other loved ones.
