Lorraine Spencer Worley of Cape Coral, Florida, unfortunately lost her long battle with pulmonary fibrosis on January 15, 2026, at age 76. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her husband, Ken; son, Spencer; sister, Susan McMullen; and sister-in-law, Linda Spencer.

She is predeceased by her father, Robert G. Spencer, Sr; mother, Beverly Spencer; twin sister, Linda Klemba; and brother, Robert G. Spencer, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Ken; son, Spencer; sister, Susan McMullen; and sister-in-law, Linda Spencer.

Lorraine and Ken were high school sweethearts in Wethersfield, Connecticut, and were married on December 20, 1969. They enjoyed 56 wonderful years together, including four and a half years during Ken’s time in the US Navy which took them to Charleston, South Carolina and a year in Athens, Greece. They spent 25 years in the Atlanta Georgia area and finally moved to Cape Coral in 2001.

Lorraine was passionate about early education as a kindergarten teacher in Stone Mountain, Georgia and 10 years as a special education assistant with the Lee County school system in Cape Coral. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Post 90 in Cape Coral and deeply involved with the Cape Coral Quilting Guild. She loved the time spent at her family’s home on Cape Cod.

Lorraine will be missed by the many people who’s lives she touched and made a difference in, and those who made a difference in hers.
