In Loving Memory of Louis V. Medeiros Jr.

September 2, 1946 – April 1, 2021

Leesburg, FL – Louis V. Medeiros, 74, passed away peacefully at UCF Health on April 1, 2021. Born in Linz, Austria on September 2, 1946 to Margaretha Medeiros (Pitra) and the late Louis V. Medeiros Sr. Louis is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Louise Medeiros (Morra); his son Douglas C. Medeiros and wife Denise Kelly of Hopkinton, Massachusetts; his daughter Charlotte A. Gray (Medeiros) and husband William F. Gray of Haverhill, Massachusetts; grandchildren Lucy, Aidan, Fiona, Rylan, and Jacob; sister Karen A. Medeiros; sister-in-law Judy Medeiros and son Jonathan Borges.  Louis is predeceased by his brother Robert L. Medeiros (June 30, 2020).

Louis grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts.  He graduated from Durfee High School in 1964.   He worked for over 10 years in banking followed by a 30 year career in retail management for paint and wallpaper suppliers, including proprietorship of Fall River Paint and Wallpaper.

Louis was a loving and devoted spouse, father, grandfather, son, and friend.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.  A tournament level cribbage player, Louis most enjoyed playing cards and dominoes.  A life-long New York Yankees fan (to the dismay of his family of avid Red Sox fans), he loved baseball.

His family is grateful for the outpouring of support, prayer, and encouragement from family and friends. Please note that there will be no formal services at this time; a Celebration of Life is planned for a later date in Fall River, MA.
