It is with a saddened heart that we announce the passing of Louis "Lou" Toombs on July 10 ^th , 2024 in his North Port, FL home. Lou died peacefully, surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. Living life on his terms, his last wish was to renew his wedding vows and lifelong dedication to his surviving wife Kathleen, he fulfilled that wish just days before.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen, his children, Louis Toombs Jr, Kimberly Light and Kristi Nazario, 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and countless lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his Mother Francis Borzon

Lou's brief battle with cancer showed his courage in facing life challenges head on, with a smile. Despite the pain, Lou stayed st4rong until the end and became a hero to all who knew and loved him. He enjoyed the outdoors, specifically fishing and boating on the waters of Lake Erie.

He will be sorely missed but remembered for his quite dignity, quick whit and beautiful smile.
