Lucien Medor Belanger, 88 and known to his friends and family as "Lou", passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 in Ormond Beach, Florida. He was born on December 20, 1931 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to parents Medor and Jean Belanger. Lou joined the United States Army in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1954, after having served in the Korean War.

Lou loved to cook and went on to a have a fulfilling career as a chef for over 40 years, working at the Mount St., Charles Academy in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and The Mansuon Nursing Home in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. When not working, Lou enjoyed woodworking as a hobby. He also had fun going on cruises and seeing different parts of the world.

Lou is survived by his son, Maurice Belanger, his daughter-in-law, Denise Belanger, and 4 grandchildren, Eric, Shawn, Catherine, and Jasmine. Lou is dearly loved by his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed.
