Lucille Peterson, 88, New Smyrna Beach, FL passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Florida Hospital New Smyrna Beach. She was born December 15, 1929 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Columbus and Liller (nee. Murphy) Halton. She moved to New York as a young age and returned to New Smyrna Beach in 1993. She was the neighborhood Mom whose door was always open and raised more than 30 foster children. She leaves to mourn four siblings, nine children, 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Life Celebration will be 11:00AM Friday, November 9 at Temple of Praise 710 Enterprise Avenue New Smyrna Beach FL 32169. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM. Committal services will be Sea Pines Memorial Gardens.
