Obituary

"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."  Proverbs 31:25

Lucille Ann Reeves, beloved mother, grandmother, and woman of enduring faith, was called home to her Lord on February 15, 2026, peacefully at home in Port Orange, Florida at the age of 90. She left this world as she had lived in it: quietly rooted in grace, surrounded by the love she had spent a lifetime giving away.

Born in Fort Myers, Florida in 1935, Lucille came to Daytona Beach as a young girl and made it her lifelong home. At just twelve years old, she gave her heart to Jesus setting the course for everything that would follow. From that moment forward, her life became a living testimony. She was a woman whose faith was not worn on special occasions but woven into the very fabric of her days: in how she loved her children, how she served her neighbors, how she prayed for those she may have never met.

As a mother, she was the steadfast, radiant heart of her family and a true matriarch in every sense of the word. Lucille possessed a rare and beautiful combination of strength and tenderness. She led not through command, but through example: a Godly life lived with consistency, warmth, and quiet courage. Those who knew her best will carry her voice with them always, in the way she prayed, the way she listened, the way she made every person feel seen and deeply cared for. She was one of six siblings, brothers Frank, Richard, Morris and Donald, and sisters Joy and Dorothy, and that bond of family was something she carried with her and poured into everything she built.

Lucille was a woman of remarkable purpose and elegance. For forty years, she served her community as a licensed realtor, building lasting relationships through her work at Triangle Realty (where she gave twenty-nine faithful years), as well as Hudson Realty and Walker Realty. Alongside her real estate career, she spent forty years as a Mary Kay beauty consultant, sharing not just beauty, but confidence and joy with every woman she served. A proud graduate of Mainland High School (Class of 1953), she further pursued her love of beauty and design through studies in interior design.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life and her greatest legacy. She was a devoted member and elder of First Christian Church of Daytona Beach, and a charter member of Dayton Drive-In Christian Church. She also worshipped alongside her sisters in Christ at South Daytona Christian Church and Tomoka Christian Church. For forty-five years, she was a beloved member of Prayer Sisters, a ministry she cherished deeply. She served on the board of directors of Winning Women for Christ, a ministry that embodied all she believed about the calling of women to live boldly and faithfully for God.

Lucille leaves behind a legacy that cannot be counted in years, but in lives transformed, in faith passed down through generations, and in a love that will continue to bloom long after her name is spoken.

She is survived by her son, Steve Reeves; her daughters Rhonda Valley and her husband Tom Valley, and Jennifer Fuller; her grandchildren, Cheyne Fuller, Ryan Fuller, Eric Reeves and his wife Lauren Reeves, and Cara Beth Reeves; and four precious great-grandchildren, Mac, Jacob, Lani and Layla. She is also survived by a beloved circle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, each one a cherished part of the family legacy she leaves behind.

She is preceded in death by her son, Brian Reeves; her daughter-in-law, April Hughes-Reeves, her grandson, Kevin Reeves; and her son-in-law, Mike Fuller.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 1:30PM at First Christian Church, 326 South Palmetto Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114
