Lula Meadows, beloved wife of the late Richard Meadows passed away on January 15th, 2025 while surrounded by her family at the Barrington Assisted Living facility. She was 83 years old born in Opeilika Alabama to Roger and Mildred Tolbert September 5th 1941. Lula married the love of her life Richard Meadows and remained by his side for more than 60 years till the day of his passing in June 2023. Lula worked as a Registered Nurse in management positions for more than 25 years. She loved playing the slots at the casino, singing in choirs, vacationing on cruises, and game days at her community clubhouse. (Pokeno was her game)

Lula is survived by her loving children Aaron, Carolyn, Richie and their spouses Cecelia, Roger, and Miriam. She is also survived by her beloved sister Gloria, niece Ann, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard and parents Mildred and Roger. The family of Lula Meadows are sincerely grateful for all the love and support our mother received from her friends in her community as well as her church family at Lee Blvd Baptist Church.

We wish to extend a special thanks to Maritza Fraticelli who became not only her caregiver but also confidant and family. Thank you to Hope Hospice for the support our mother received for a peaceful transition and passing. We are confident that she is now at peace with our Lord Jesus and reunited with her love and husband Richard.
