Luz Maria Matos, 77, of Ocala, Florida died Friday, August 14, 2020 at her home surrounded by family.

She spent her life in the food industry doing everything from serving to bakery manager. She enjoyed volunteering her time to the ministry and spending time with her family and friends. She not only raised her family but was mother to many of the neighborhood kids as well. She is survived by her kids, Wanda Sanchez (Freddie), Julia Valdez, Manuel Ramos, Laresta Tejeda, Robin Cuellar (Alex), Leticia Balli-Kidwell (Erin), her brothers, Eddie Matos and Jose Matos and her sister, Juanita Matos. There are many beloved nieces and nephews. She has  11 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great, Great Grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sons, Antonio Matos and Richard Palacios..

Services will be held at Baldwin Brother's Funeral Home 954 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Unit 200 Ocala, Florida 34470 on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 4:00pm.
