IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lydia Edith
Sageder
December 1, 1946 – May 3, 2025
Lydia Edith Sageder, a beloved wife, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on December 1, 1946, in Munich, Germany, Lydia's life was a rich tapestry woven with love, adventure, and kindness.
Lydia was the daughter of Johann Beck and Albertine Moritz, who instilled in her a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for family values. After graduating from high school in Germany, she pursued some college education, laying a foundation for her future endeavors.
On July 22, 1973, Lydia married the love of her life, John Christian Sageder, in a beautiful ceremony in Glenn Falls, New York. Their union was a partnership filled with laughter, support, and an unbreakable bond that weathered life's storms. Lydia and John shared a passion for travel, which fueled the creation of Lydia's successful business, Travel Source, an online travel agency she owned and operated with great enthusiasm.
Lydia was a warm and inviting person, renowned for her willingness to help others. Her generous spirit touched the lives of many, and she was always there to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement. Whether it was giving advice to friends or volunteering in her community, Lydia embodied the essence of kindness.
In her leisure time, Lydia indulged her love for tennis and enjoyed exploring new cuisines, often gathering friends and family for delightful meals out. Her passion for traveling took her to beautiful destinations, where she created cherished memories and lifelong friendships.
Lydia is survived by her devoted husband, John Christian Sageder, who stood by her side through the ups and downs of life, sharing a love that was deep and abiding. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures.
In honoring Lydia's wishes, a private funeral service will be held, where family and close friends will gather to celebrate her remarkable life. While she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Lydia Edith Sageder will be profoundly missed, but her warmth, generosity, and zest for life will continue to inspire all who were touched by her presence. Rest in peace, dear Lydia.
